Falling in Love with Fall Weddings? Your Questions Answered
Congratulations on your engagement! You’ve got the perfect partner, a dazzling ring and now it’s time to plan your dream day. You’ve always imagined a fall wedding full of sparkles and white pumpkins. But aside from the ever-growing Pinterest board, where do you begin? Take a seat, grab a drink and don’t worry, The Beaumont Inn has you covered.
We took a look at some commonly asked questions from Ask the Public to help you plan your fall wedding.
When is the fall wedding season?
The fall wedding season typically encompasses September, October, and November. With an increase in couples gravitating towards the autumnal, it’s no surprise that The Knot found October 19, 2019 to be the most popular wedding date of the year.
Though there are perks to having a fall wedding such as fall foliage, comfortable temperatures, and seasonally chic decor, there are some things to keep in mind.
Weather: The East Coast can have fluctuating precipitation from rain to snow.
Fall Holidays: Though you may be thankful, grateful, and blessed to spend eternity with the love of your life, having a Thanksgiving wedding may lead to conflicts. Similarly, unless you have a Halloween-themed wedding up your sleeve, consider the possibility of guests showing in attire that may be considered spooky.
End of Daylight Savings Time: With the end of daylight savings comes earlier sunsets. This may be problematic for sunset photos after your ceremony.
What are fall wedding colors?
A quick search of fall wedding colors will immerse you in colors of changing leaves.
Here Comes the Guide offers insight into a modern twist of the “Falling in Love” theme if you envision pale pinks, dusty blues, and splashes of metallics for your wedding day.
When should I start to plan my wedding?
We’re sure you’re eager to pull out the wedding binder and start planning your big day. But the WeddingWire suggests waiting about three weeks to bask in the just engaged glow–if time allows.
Once it’s time to get planning, you and your partner need to consider when you want the day to be. From there, follow these steps:
If your wedding is more than a year away: Time is on your side. Since most vendors book up within a year, you’ll have the luxury of finding the perfect venue, tasty catering, grooving music, and the picture-perfect photographer. WeddingWire explains that the average couple is engaged for 13 months. In that span, time is a little more sparse, but still much more relaxed than the less than one year event. Take time to set a budget for your day and estimate your guest count.
If your wedding is in less than a year: Depending on when you got engaged, a one year planning period may be perfect for you. But as the timeline comes down to months, remember to pick the big things–vendors, catering, etc. If your wedding is three months away, check out this helpful list.
How do I plan an outdoor wedding?
Have you always imagined maple leaves strewn on the aisle as you locked eyes on your partner? Are the fresh smells of fall, the crisp air, and natural background everything you wanted on your big day?
You’ll want to check out the Gorgeous Grounds at the Beaumont Inn and the Grande Pavilion.
The grounds cover 50 acres of land, complete with beautiful botanical gardens which create picture-perfect moments and memories for everyone to treasure. All ceremonies can be designed with your wants in mind.
Additional outdoor features include two-tiered flagstone patios overlooking Leonard’s Creek. Our patios have multiple gas fire pits and elegant Italian lighting, making any time and place “A Photographer’s Dream.” This lighting allows for a warm and glowing ambiance, allowing for the perfect moments to be captured even when the sun has set.
