Ashley Drouse

General Manager

Ashley Drouse has spent over 13 years of experience in the hospitality, events, and food & beverage industry and leads her team with hands-on expertise through every service. A proud graduate of Misericordia University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Ashley has built a well-rounded career rooted in dedication, creativity, and a love for exceptional service. Starting her journey as a waitress, she quickly moved through the ranks—gaining experience behind the bar, in banquet operations, and in human resources—before stepping confidently into leadership.

Her favorite part of the job? Working closely with her team to create memorable guest experiences, mentoring and developing an upcoming group of hospitality professionals, and getting to interact daily with our favorite guests.

Jeff Huntzinger

Executive Chef

Jeff Huntzinger is the Executive Chef here at The Beaumont Inn, where he has been leading the restaurant and banquet culinary program for since 2013. With a deep passion for farm-to-table cuisine, he played a key role in establishing a 1/4-acre heirloom vegetable garden on the property, ensuring that fresh, high-quality ingredients are at the heart of every dish. A graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts in Pittsburgh, Jeff brings a refined yet approachable style to his cooking, blending classic techniques with seasonal inspirations. His dedication to excellence has helped shape The Beaumont Inn into a premier dining destination.

Outside the kitchen, Jeff enjoys immersing himself in the outdoors, with hunting and fly fishing among his favorite pastimes. His love for food extends beyond his professional life, as he also enjoys gardening and experimenting with new culinary techniques at home. A devoted family man, Jeff cherishes spending time with his wife and three kids, passing down his appreciation for nature, food, and tradition. Whether in the kitchen or out in the field, his passion for craftsmanship and quality is evident in everything he does.

Chelsea Dalton

Event Manager

Chelsea Dalton has spent over 15 years in the hospitality industry, working her way up with passion and dedication. She started at the Beaumont Inn as a bartender and server, quickly falling in love with creating memorable experiences for guests. In 2018, Chelsea transitioned into an Event Coordinator role, and by 2023, she became the Events Manager.

For Chelsea, there’s nothing more rewarding than being a part of someone’s special day and helping bring their vision to life. With over nine years at the Beaumont Inn, she’s made it her mission to ensure every event feels personal, unique, and unforgettable.

Ally Soroka

Event Coordinator

Ally Soroka is the Event Coordinator here at The Beaumont Inn! Her journey started with serving and allowed her to move quickly through to management and bartending. Ally’s experience doesn’t just end with planning, her love for florals quickly became a five-year career designing wedding and event arrangements. In 2022, she joined The Beaumont Inn bartending wedding and quickly found her spot within this amazing Events Team.

Ally’s passion lies in bringing events to life and making sure every detail feels just right. Whether she’s coordinating timelines, managing vendors, or adding creative touches, Ally is dedicated to making every celebration seamless and unforgettable.

Travis DeSimone

Sous Chef

Travis Desimone brings 15 years of culinary experience to his role as Sous Chef at The Beaumont Inn. Having honed his craft at renowned establishments like Pastels in Waverly, SuGa in Philly, and Westmoreland, Travis joined The Beaumont in 2022. His passion for cooking is fueled by the process of turning creative ideas into beautiful dishes, as well as the camaraderie and friendships that are formed in the kitchen.

Recently promoted to Sous Chef, Travis continues to inspire his team with his dedication to excellence and his love for bringing flavors to life on the plate.

Becky Gabriel

Banquet Chef

Rebecca Gabriele is the Banquet Chef at The Beaumont Inn, bringing her culinary expertise and passion for hospitality to the role since October 2024. She has been a dedicated member of the Friedman Hospitality Group, serving as a Sous Chef at Kevin’s Bar & Restaurant since 2018.

Rebecca’s culinary journey began with an Associate Degree in Pastry Arts Management from Luzerne County Community College in 2010. She further honed her skills at the Culinary Institute of America, earning an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts in 2012 and a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2023. With a strong background in both culinary creativity and management, Rebecca continues to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

History in the Making

The Beaumont Inn has a long history in the Back Mountain since its construction in 1948 by Peter Masonis. The Inn was purchased by the Vaskas brothers in 1957 until it was bought by the Harkins Family in 1988. The Beaumont Inn was most recently purchased by the current owner, Robert Friedman, in 2012 and underwent a complete renovation to the beautiful structure it is today.

Although mostly known as a destination for dining and drinks, the Inn also offers suites for overnight guests. Every room has a distinct design to give the guests their own unique stay. The charm of antique furnishing keeps the Inn tied to its roots, yet still includes the modern luxuries we’re used to today. The Inn has 10 rooms available for overnight guests, giving a more personalized experience than other locations in this area.

The Gardens

The Beaumont Inn provides a picturesque setting with our beautiful botanical gardens located on the 50 acres of property. With more than 200 varieties of plants, our guests can follow the garden through its progression of life — from its budding beginnings in March to its beautiful blooms in June to the final faded glory in November. The gardens range from the floral settings to the fruits and vegetables that are used in the meals prepared on site each and every day. Whether you are at the Beaumont Inn for a meal with friends or for one of our on-site events, there is something beautiful in the gardens for everyone to enjoy.

Fine Dining Experience

The restaurant service at the Beaumont Inn is all made to order through the garden herbs, fruits, and vegetables on site by our Executive Chef, Jeff Huntzinger, and his team of experienced chefs that have been trained at one of the most esteemed culinary institutes in the country. Our menus contain a variety of unique dishes you will only find at the Beaumont Inn. From the meal preparation and presentation to the entire dining experience, we strive to create an experience unlike any other.

Our exquisite meals can be viewed on our Menu page for brunch, dinner, our lounge and bar area, and our Party in the Pavilion. Fine dining options are available both indoor and outdoor during the Spring through Fall seasons, weather permitting. However, you are still able to dine indoors at our stylish, relaxed bar and lounge as well as in our historic dining room.

If you’re looking for something outdoors, we have additional outdoor dining and bar options available on our flagstone double-tiered patio or reconstructed terrace that sit just behind the Beaumont Inn overlooking Leonard’s Creek. This 3,500-square-foot flagstone patio and terrace include gas fire pits, tiki torches, and Italian lighting that drapes across the entire area to add to your evening ambiance.

Events

Looking for a place to hold your next event? The Beaumont Inn is the perfect place! The Beaumont Inn allows for an array of party settings from a fine-dining experience for two to a small intimate gathering or reception, ranging up to a large wedding reception of up to 300 family and friends. The Beaumont Inn is perfectly placed in the Back Mountain area for a private outdoor setting. A few examples of events held at the Beaumont Inn range from dinner parties, birthdays, showers, proms, graduation parties, corporate events, and wedding ceremonies and receptions. While the gardens and outdoor seating areas are best utilized during peak seasons, the Beaumont Inn is open year-round, offering the same engaging benefits through indoor features like fine dining and indoor seated bar and lounge.
